Apple TV + and HBO Max have collected their first nominations in the two categories of Emmy Primetime Top. The HBO MAX hacks and the flight attendant, and the excellent loop of Apple Ted, all received assents for the best comedy series. All, except one of the nominees in that category, shows shows, with the exception of the Black-Ish of ABC. Netflix collected an Emily assent trio in Paris, Cobra Kai and the Kominsky method, while Hulu won one for Pen15.
Netflix led the way in the best category of the drama series, with the crown and the Bridgerton among the nominees. Disney + returned to the fold with a second successive nomination for the mandalorian in that category. Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys and Hulu The story of Handmaid (who won the prize in his first season) made the cut, along with the country of HBO Lovecraft, FX position and NBC NBC.
The crown and the mandalorian are the shows with the joint nominations of this year with 24 each. Another Disney + show, Wandavision, is just behind with 23 nods, including the best limited series and the best actor (Paul Bettany) and actress (Elizabeth Olsen) in a limited series or film. Other major winners of the transmission include the history of the knob (21 nominations), Ted Laso (20) and the Queen’s Gambit (18).
Other notable nominees that nominees include hawk and winter soldier (Disney +, five nominations), the crossing of Star Wars / Simpsons Crossover Maggie Simpson in: The strength wakes up from its nap (Disney +, One), the Umbrella Academy (Netflix, Four), Love, Death + Robots (Netflix, DOS) and the fantastic documentary Billie Eilish: The world is a bit blurred (Apple TV +, four).
Friends: The Meeting (HBO MAX) scored four nominations, Hamilton’s filmed performance (Disney +) collected 12 and the terrific territory of Bo Burnham (Netflix) received six. All were nominated for the best special variety (filmed) along with 8:46 Dave Chappelle (Netflix, but it is transmitted on YouTube), the US Utopia of David Byrne (HBO) and the West West meeting of HBO Max.
Among them, HBO and HBO Max have most nominations in general with 130. Netflix is just behind them with 129. In only their second year of Emmy’s eligibility, Disney + is in third place with 71 nominations.
Apple obtained 35 nominations in total, including one for the Apple TV compartment compartment karaoke: the series. Apple Watch Series 6 and Dre ADS Beats are among the nominees. Hulu received 25 nods this year and the primo video picked up 18.
Quibi (yes, you read that correctly) landed Emmy’s nominations for the second consecutive year with eight overall. The missing transmission platform shows are now marked as originals from Roku after Roku picked up the series library shortly.
Paramount + has six nominations, YouTube received five and Facebook landed three: two for the Oculus and one for the Facebook watch. Peacock collected two nods, while AMC +, Pluto and Discovery + received a single nomination.
