You would think that Elon Musk and Richard Branson would hold grudges with each other when they both had a spacecraft plan, but it was not true – if there was, they surprised Buddy-Buddy. Virgin Galactic said on the Wall Street Journal in a statement that Musk bought tickets on a rocket company launched by air. It is uncertain where the Founder of SpaceX is in the queue, but it is safe to say the journey will make some attention.
The feeling is mutually beneficial. In an interview with The Sunday Times, Branson said Musk was “friend” and suggested he might fly on a spacex ship “one day.” He even went so far with a tweet photo that shows him and musk together.
It’s just that, don’t expect such warmth and friendship from Jeff Bezos. Blue origin more than a little eager to talk virgin in front of the first full spaceflight full, claiming that Branson and the team only brushed the edge of the room. While the company then hopes Branson “Great flight,” we would not expect Bezos and Branson to have any Heart-to-heart coffee chat.
It’s not a total shake that Branson and Musk will be very comfortable. But both their personality mesh, both are not a fairly direct competitor. Virgin Galactic is intended primarily in tourist rooms satisfied with suborbital flights, while Virgin orbits are focused on launching satellites for clothing that cannot justify expensive conventional rocket. SpaceX, meanwhile, has focused tourism efforts on Lunar Flybys and usually carry more expensive loads into space. This is not to say both executives will start breastfeeding if their business is truly overlapping – it’s just not relying on positive vibrations that take place forever.
