While I would not go to throw this thing for casually in a rage, it feels solidly built, able to take some Dings in its bag. I have feelings found about the removable microphone; Being able to remove it means a more compact headphones design, but it is also another bit Fiddly that could lose. Then, again, it is unlikely that you need voice functions while it is outside. (Devils, the switching console does not even have a real voice chat; asks you to connect through the application on your phone).
The barracuda x excites me, mainly due to its USB-c compatibility. But that is also where it cuts me. The adapter is small, safe, but it is very broad. That means that if you have a laptop with two USB-C ports, one by the other, like my 2017 MacBook, the Barracuda dongle will block the other completely. This is a nuisance in my office configuration, where I have an external monitor and a USB hub connected to the other side. Then, while working, I can choose between the power cord and the handset. I have chosen to go out using the barracuda with my laptop, preferring instead to listen to podcasts on my phone. However, that is my unique situation, and on the fly, it is possible that you only need two ports: one for headphones and the other for power.
However, while the ARCTIS 1 Wireless maintains the standard aspect of the line (as it should, it is a great design), the barracuda is a change of rhythm for Razer. Instead of the circular look, grated of the Kraken brand, the new headset resembles opus headphones last year, which obtained an update last month. It is not totally identical, with different joints in the cups, and filling of cloth ear instead of false leather. Here, in New York, there are 90 degrees from this scripture, and I can report that I have not felt the need to remove the barracuda even after using it for a few hours. It is still a bit warm, and I definitely feel cooler when I take off my headset, but it is bearable.
Barracuda X also weighs 250 grams very scarce, one of the lightest headphones I have tried. (I think it could be lighter than your own packaging). In direct comparison, it feels just as the same hand as similar models of Turtle Beach and Logitech, but there is a balance in the construction of Barracuda plastic that makes it feel more ethereal. It is not something that I would mind keeping in my head for several hours or throwing it into my backpack so you can play on the train. That is precisely the point: You should not feel that taking this around is a load.
