Google Search protects your search history with these new features

Most people tend to use Google to look for whatever they need information, starting from worldly to personal. Only a few people think about how Google, by default, track the search, one or another way, something that can cause fear and uncertainty to some users when they are aware of that fact. Fortunately, Google becomes more responsible for handling such data and gives users more control over their online life. Now this introduces new features in Google search that will make a secure search history of prying eyes, including Google.

Most searchers on Google may not realize that they can easily see the things they are looking for in the past. Even fewer ones might consider that anyone with physical access to cellphones they can also see the data easily. What is needed for more experienced people to dig Google App settings to see potentially interesting information.

For cases where you often share your device with family members or friends, Google provides one more protection layer to keep your personal search history. You can now need additional verification while trying to see a search history of the Google Mobile application. Verification can be a password, fingerprint, or authentication of your two factors, even though it seems to default to verify whatever screen lock you set on your device.

Google has given users the ability to delete their search history after a number of certain months, both 18 or 36 months. It also provides an option to manually delete entries or even choose out of saving a complete search history. Google now adds more granular options that will allow you to delete the last 15 minutes of the search history, almost like deleting your tracks, if you forget to activate the disguise mode first.

Extra verification To see the search history now available on all devices, but the 15-minute option to delete the search history is only available on iOS for now. With these new features, Google also reminds users how the search is designed with privacy in mind and built to be safe by default. Of course, there will always be those who will oppose even that.
