OnePlus has revealed a new device this week called ONEPLUS Nord 2 5G. This new device has a MediaTek processor – which will be the first OnePlus device with a MediaTK processor inside. The OnePlus North line aims to bring affordable smartphones to the public with the OnePlus brand name to ensure the quality and reliability of software and hardware. With MediaTek inside their devices, this will make this proposition slightly more difficult than when it was, at first, using the slightly more common level of quality.
The MEDIATEK DIMENSION 1200-AI chip custom chip inside will bring an interesting set of camera capabilities in the smartphone in addition to other “Ai” features. OnePlus suggested this week that this new processor will bring an “IA improved experience that takes photography, display technology and game to a new dimension.”

If we take a look at the basic specifications for the MediaTek 1200 dimension, we can see what is probably the story of the North OnePlus 2 5G. This processor works with 8 cores, ARM Cortex-A78, ARM Cortex-A55 and ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The maximum display resolution allowed by this chipset is 2520 x 1080, with a maximum refresh rate at 168Hz!
These specifications are not guaranteed to be at stake on the North OnePlus 2 5G, but the specifications of the chipset indicate that the phone brain could handle what is listed. This also includes a maximum size of the 16GB memory, LPDDR4x, a maximum memory frequency of 4266 Mbps, with UFS 3.1 storage.
This chipset allows an ISP of the camera max at 32mp + 16 MP (200 MP) and a video capture resolution max at 3840 x 2160. We are also talking about Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6 and the potential of “true double 5 g” – C is “true dual 5g sim (5g sa + 5g sa).” But we will have to wait to see what OnePlus reveals as real specifications before becoming too deep, here!
There is also a North OnePlus 2 5G “Competition” at stake here, it will take place between the (strange that it may seem) dates from July 7, 17:00 IS until June 22 at 12:00 am. If we go forward and we guess that June was supposed to be July *, we can guess when the North 2 5G OnePlus will be released near the end of this month.
